ARCH:ID 2026 Officially Launches: Ready to Strengthen the Architecture Industry through Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration

in Architecture Exhibition, Architecture Lifestyle, Building Material Exhibition, interior Exhibition, Lifestyle

Jakarta, Indonesia – [23 April 2026] – ARCH:ID, the most anticipated architectural forum and exhibition in Indonesia, officially opens its sixth edition on 23 April 2026 at Hall 6, ICE BSD City. The official opening of the exhibition was marked by a traditional dance performance, and was followed by the beating of a gong led by the Director of Architecture and Design, Ministry of Creative Economy, Megawati Panjaitan.

At this opening event, a number of stakeholders from the architecture ecosystem and exhibition industry were also present, including the Chair of the Indonesian Architects Association (IAI) Georgius Budi Yulianto, the ARCH:ID 2026 curator team consisting of Ar. Afwina Kamal, IAI; Ar. Trianzani Sulshi, IAI; and Ar. Dhanie Syawalia, IAI, as well as Program Director Firman Setia Herwanto, President of CIS Malaysia Vincent Lim, Country Director of CIS Exhibition Linda Leoni, and Project Director Raden Arief Sofyan Rudiantoro.

Organized by the Indonesian Architects Association together with CIS Exhibition, ARCH:ID 2026 will take place on 23–26 April 2026 at ICE BSD City. Entering its sixth edition, ARCH:ID carries the theme “Synthesis Scheme: Engagement Architecture” which emphasizes the importance of cross-disciplinary collaboration in today’s architectural practice.

This year, the scale of the event increased significantly by presenting 725 booths and more than 180 exhibitors occupying an area of 18,000 square meters. Apart from exhibitions, ARCH:ID 2026 also presents an International Conference with 8 main speakers, 90 talk series sessions, and more than 220 speakers from within and outside the country, equipped with various superior programs such as Featured Exhibitions, Business Matching, Hackathon competitions, and the Best Booth Award, and supported by ByoLiving as a strategic partner.

ARCH:ID 2026 this time will present an exhibition experience curated through the Tetenger concept, by changing the exhibition format from just a row of booths to a series of interconnected thematic zones. Various areas are designed with specific functions, such as Tetenger Riung as a gathering space, Tetenger Rembuk for discussions, Tetenger Teduh as a space for pause and reflection, Tetenger Tutur as a narrative space, and Tetenger Siar for media activities, which are also equipped with Tetenger Rehat and Tetenger Luar.

Also supported by communal areas such as Angkringan and Alun-alun, this approach provides a more human-centered experience. All these elements are designed to encourage interaction, dialogue and exchange of ideas in a more inclusive, flowing and contextual atmosphere.

More than 60 architects across generations—including Andra Matin, Muhammad Sagitha, M. Ikhsan Hamiru, and Artiandi Akbar—were involved in designing the 8,090 square meter exhibition area through a collaborative curation approach, with communities such as Ibu Architects, IALRC, and Scootarch. Apart from that, collaboration at ARCH:ID this year has also developed wider by touching on cross-disciplines that go beyond architectural practice, namely by involving lighting designers, graphic designers, product designers, and landscape architects, as well as support from various professional associations such as the Indonesian Interior Designers Association (HDII), the Indonesian Illumination Engineering Association (HTII), the Indonesian Landscape Architects Association (IALI), the Indonesian Green Building Council (GBCI), the Indonesian Product Designer Alliance (ADPII), the Association of Various Indonesian Ceramic Industries (ASAKI), and the Indonesian Solar Energy Association. (AESI).

Apart from the exhibition, ARCH:ID 2026 also presents a series of international conferences which last for two days, on 23–24 April 2026, and are divided into two sessions, namely the Urban Forum and the Architectural Forum. This conference presented international speakers such as Florence Chan (KPF, Hong Kong), Manuelle Gautrand (France), Marina Tabassum (Bangladesh)—recipient of the Aga Khan Awards for Architecture, and Agnes Soh (Singapore), who brought a variety of approaches ranging from public space design to climate-responsive design.

Meanwhile, speakers from Indonesia presented Irene Umar as Deputy Minister of Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, Diana Kusumastuti as Deputy Minister of Public Works and Public Housing of the Republic of Indonesia, as well as Isha Hening as a visual artist and Helen Agustine as an architect, who together presented a cross-disciplinary perspective that continues to develop.

ARCH:ID 2026 International Conference: Global and Local Perspectives in One Forum

As a curated B2B exhibition, ARCH:ID is a strategic platform for product launches, product sourcing, and discovering the latest innovations in the architecture, design and building materials industry. This exhibition is not only a space for the exchange of insights, but also facilitates the exploration of the latest materials, technologies and solutions relevant to project needs.

The various product categories presented include renewable and sustainable architecture, smart building technologies, modular solutions, BIM (Building Information Modeling), and various architectural and interior products, building materials, surfaces, and finishes, underscoring a commitment to sustainable practices and a more environmentally friendly future for architecture.

Through its series of programs, ARCH:ID encourages collaboration between brands, architects, and practitioners across disciplines to improve design quality while strengthening communication strategies and business development.

This year, ARCH:ID 2026 returns with the Business Matching program, which aims to connect industry professionals such as architects, interior designers, developers, and project owners with brand exhibitors through curated one-on-one meetings. This program facilitates more relevant and efficient connections for collaboration exploration, product sourcing, and project development. With a targeted approach, Business Matching helps ensure each meeting has the real potential to become a business opportunity and sustainable collaboration.

Furthermore, there’s the Hackathon program, a collaborative design competition that brings together students from across disciplines to intensively address architectural challenges. Carrying the theme “Synthesis in Action,” this event integrates Autodesk Forma, Rhinoceros, and SketchUp into a single workflow. Participants work in teams to develop innovative solutions, from understanding the context to realizing the design, while emphasizing architecture as a collaborative practice in the digital age.

ARCH:ID 2026 is targeted to attract around 31,000 visitors over the four days of the event, serving as a vital platform for professionals to connect and collaborate. To visit the exhibition, registration is available at arch.id/visit2026. Meanwhile, conference tickets are available at arch.id/conference2026, providing access to a series of discussions, presentations, and exchanges of ideas with practitioners and thinkers across disciplines.
