[Jakarta, April 11 2026] — ARCH:ID is back as one of the most anticipated agendas for architecture, interior and building materials industry players in Indonesia. Held by the Indonesian Architects Association (IAI) together with CIS Exhibition, ARCH:ID 2026 will take place on 23–26 April 2026 at ICE BSD City. This year, the scale of the event increased by presenting 725 booths and more than 180 exhibitors occupying an exhibition area of ​​18,000 square meters.

Not only exhibitions, ARCH:ID 2026 also presents an International Conference with 8 main speakers, 90 talk series sessions, and a total of 220 speakers from within and outside the country. A series of programs such as Featured Exhibition, Business Matching, Hackathon competitions, and the Best Booth Award also complete the visitor experience. The 8,090 square meter exhibition area was designed through collaborative curation with more than 60 architects across generations—including Andra Matin, Muhammad Sagitha, M. Ikhsan Hamiru, and Artiandi Akbar—as well as communities such as Ibu Architects, IALRC, and Scootarch.

As a reinforcement of curatorial direction, ARCH:ID 2026 is curated by Ar. Afwina Kamal, IAI (Hadiprana Design), Ar. Trianzani Sulshi, IAI (Studio Aliri), and Ar. Dhanie Syawalia, IAI (Dhanie & Sal). With the theme “Scheme Synthesis – Architecture of Engagement”, this exhibition views architecture as an open and collaborative ecosystem; a place where disciplines are connected, dialogue thrives, and boundaries between fields are blurred.

“Architecture has long harbored the illusion of autonomy; as if it were a discipline that answered only to itself. The Synthesis Scheme dismantles this notion, by insisting that the built environment is never solely the result of the architect’s work. Every project is shaped by systems and multiple actors outside the design studio.” said the ARCH:ID 2026 Curatorial Team.

Referring to the theme raised, collaboration at ARCH:ID 2026 also developed wider. Not only in architectural practice, but also involving various creative disciplines, from lighting designers, graphic designers, product designers, to landscape architects who contribute with brands as industrial partners. This participation is strengthened by the support of a number of professional institutions and associations, including the Indonesian Interior Designers Association (HDII), the Indonesian Illumination Engineering Association (HTII), the Indonesian Landscape Architects Association (IALI), the Indonesian Green Building Council (GBCI), the Indonesian Product Designer Alliance (ADPII), the Association of Various Indonesian Ceramic Industries (ASAKI), and the Indonesian Solar Energy Association (AESI).

Through this cross-disciplinary approach, ARCH:ID 2026 positions architecture as a dynamic and interconnected ecosystem. Making the ARCH:ID exhibition a space where diverse expertise meets, collaborates and together forms a more comprehensive and meaningful spatial experience.

ARCH:ID 2026 International Conference: Global and Local Perspectives in One Forum

The ARCH:ID international conference will be held over two days and divided into two sessions: The Urban Forum and The Architectural Forum. These sessions will feature influential figures from around the world who are relevant to today’s architectural and urban challenges.

Florence Chan (KPF, Hong Kong) brings global-scale project experience with a focus on the dynamics of public spaces. Manuelle Gautrand (France) is known for her architecture that blends innovation and local heritage, while Marina Tabassum (Bangladesh)—recipient of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture—delivers a more climate-responsive and socially oriented approach. From Singapore, Agnes Soh complements her perspective through her landscape architecture practice, which plays a crucial role in shaping resilient and livable cities.

Meanwhile, Indonesian speakers Irene Umar from the Ministry of Creative Economy and Diana Kusumastuti from the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR) bring strategic insights from the perspective of national policy and development, opening up an understanding of how design directly intersects with the direction of the country’s development. On the other hand, visual artist Isha Hening and architect Helen Agustine bring the energy of a creative generation exploring new boundaries between art, space, and contemporary architectural practice.
